Residential Service

Attic Insulation & Top-Ups

Blow-in fiberglass for existing homes. Keep your home warm without replacing everything.

The Fix

Your Attic Is Losing Heat. We Fix That.

If your attic insulation has settled, thinned out, or was never enough to begin with, a blow-in top-up is the most practical fix. We add Johns Manville fiberglass insulation on top of what is already there, bringing your attic up to the R-value it should be at.

This works for older homes with cold rooms, high heating bills, or uneven temperatures. No tear-out needed. We blow new insulation on top of the existing material.

We use a Krendl insulation machine and generator, so we bring everything we need to the job site. No power required from your home.

Questions

About Attic Insulation

How do I know if my attic needs more insulation?

If you can see the tops of the joists in your attic, your insulation has likely settled below useful levels. Cold spots in rooms below the attic and high heating bills are also common signs.

Do you remove the old insulation first?

For top-ups, we blow new fiberglass on top of what is already there. We do not offer insulation removal, but if the existing material is in reasonable condition, adding on top is the most cost-effective approach.

What R-value should my attic be?

Most Saskatchewan homes benefit from R-50 or higher in the attic. We can help you figure out what makes sense for your home and budget.
